Seeloz Healthcare

Seeloz Healthcare is a decision support system dynamically tailored for each of the players in a hospital or healthcare network, starting with doctors and practitioners, to department heads and hospital administration, and all the way to top executives. Through Seeloz, each business user in the management hierarchy has access to recommended actions and automated actions allowing them to run their day-to-day activities more efficiently. Leveraging Seeloz, hospitals can tangibly optimize their Quality of Service (QoS), reduce operational waste, and improve the overall hospital bottom line.

The Seeloz unique differentiator lies in mining and analyzing non-PHI EMRs data in real-time to develop a thorough Patient Modeling , aka an understanding about the chronic problems and future needs of every patient at the hospital. Through mining additional data sources together with the Patient Modeling (e.g., drug pricing & expiration dates), Seeloz tackles various operational optimization problems to help hospitals in achieving tangible performance gains.

Through a variety of Data-Driven Modules affecting multiple touchpoints at every hospital, Seeloz increases operational efficiency and optimizes Quality of Service.

Replenishment Optimization For Hospital Pharmacies

Our Replenishment Optimization solution is simply a layer of smartness seamlessly running on top of EMRs, e.g., Epic & Cerner, and pharmacy inventory management systems, e.g., Pyxis & McKesson.

The solution leverages a deep modeling of patients' needs (which is unique for every hospital) and a real-time modeling of the various supply options and inventory levels to help hospital pharmacies "prevent" up to 40%-60% of pharmaceutical waste (estimated to be $1.2B yearly in the US). The new EPA regulation for "Hazardous Pharmaceutical Waste Management" (enforcing caregivers to pharmaceutically recycle expired drugs rather than flushing them in toilets) further increases the importance of this solution!

Basically, the solution predicts the expected demand on every drug carried by the hospital pharmacy to automatically recommend order placements (timing, quantity, etc.) and route optimizations.  Order placements are automatically injected in the regular inventory management systems that the pharmacy uses. This allows hospitals to:

  1. Minimize financial losses due to pharmaceutical waste with NO changes to existing business processes.
  2. Solve over/under stock problems and minimize drug expiration occurrences.
  3. Prevent the need to waste lots of time and tons of money on pharmaceutical waste management solutions.

Customer Satisfaction

Are patients satisfied with the level of service that my hospital provides? What are the main factors leading to patient frustration at my hospital? How do we assess our patient satisfaction in a holistic fashion and determine which of our hospital practices are problematic from a QoS standpoint?

All these are questions that are always asked by hospital administrations and COOs without finding a solid mechanism helping them in effectively addressing these open-ended questions. We believe we have an answer!

Building on top of our unique Patient Modeling , our engine mines the multiple forms of patient feedback available at the hospital, e.g., patient surveys, to determine weak customer interaction points across the hospital.

Whether it's a particular order of interactions at a given visit, e.g., lab tests, x-rays, etc., that needs to be adopted for diabetic male patients aged 35 years old or older, or it's a given practice that needs to be stopped for pediatric patients visiting ERs after 5pm during weekdays, our recommendation engine continuously nails down the exact list of actions to be adopted by hospital administrations to maximize patient satisfaction and optimize their operational excellence.

Resource Scheduling

Over-utilization and under-utilization of personnel, labs and instruments/devices is a serious problem faced by multiple hospitals.

Our Resource Scheduling solution allows hospital administrations to solve this problem through scheduling resources (humans & machines) based on forecasted loads on the different labs, departments, etc.

This allows hospitals to:

  1. solve over/under utilization problems.
  2. Increase worker satisfaction.
  3. Optimize machine/device usage across departments.
  4. Improve patient experience.
